As an example the same Graco stroller in different color at Walmart or Target was 275$, but it was 369$ in babiesrus. The rep declined to do a price match since it was a different color. An employee told that manufacturers send different colors to different retailers so that people cant price match. Also the employees here are barely knowledgeable about the products and are not friendly, so there is no real benefit for this specialty shops to exist. No wonder it is bankrupt. So my advise is look here but shop elsewhere. (Target, Walmart and even Costco has some good products by the same brands at much better prices).

I am due to have my first child and am a bit clueless as to what I really need and what's very important to have. Well....I saw that Babies"R"Us has a "personal registry shopper" that will help you along the way. After my first appointment I walked out even more confused then I did when I walked in! This women was alittle helpful but left me after 5 minutes (meanwhile store was not busy) and I had made reservations online and booked 2 30 minute appointments so I had enough time. As I stated I couldn't handle it plus she was picking out the most expensive items to put on my registry starting "why should it matter how much it cost, your not buying it!" REALLY?!?!?! Well I do care about my family and friends and their budgets. Skipping ahead....I decided to give it another shot and made 2 back to back 30 min. Appt. again and it was ten times worse! This employer just handed me the scanner and price of paper (a checklist) and sent me on my way. This time I gave up and walked out in tears! 1 month later I schedule a 3rd visit and it was worse or about the same as the last 2 times! Why on earth do they offer to have a "personal registry person" help you out when that is not the case at all. I even scheduled appointments and there were other shoppers looking for gifts off someone's registry to buy and I was told to wait even though I had gotten there first and had an appointment. I heard other stories of babies r us handing out registry welcome bags with items to use for the baby and to thank you for choosing their store. Nope! Didn't happen here! I don't really care too much about that but I am planning on having a second child and will either register at target or Amazon. I just wanted to make it simple for my guest and register at one store and one store that specializes in everything you need. Now I have to go back in there and return some items which I'm sure will be a hassle and ask questions regarding other products. I did all my research this time tho! I thought Babies"R"Us would take the stress out of me being a new mom as well as inform and make me knowledgeable of products that I definitely should have on my registry. I was thinking about going to the Montgomeriville store to see if it was any different but it's a far drive. Well I guess I'll see what happens. The sad part about all this is while I was registering I was also buying items I wanted ASAP which turned about to be close to 700.00. With no help and no one to even stop by to see how I was doing I think I did a pretty good job but it took away a lot of my time googling products, seeing what's the best and if it's that necessary. For a store that specializes in this I am highly confused and so disappointed and you would think I'm giving them a ton of business so please lead me in the right direction or give me some knowledge of products I'm asking about instead of me having to pull out my cell phone every time I wanted to scan an item! Another factor in all this.....you would think they would step up there game due to people using the web to buy stuff like this now and also all the bonuses like thank you bags and discounts etc.....if I could do it again I'd Probably choose Target and Amazon! What a big disappointment!
